I feel bad. I want to blog daily, really, I do. It's just finding the time to sit and type what's on my mind or what happens in my life just isn't a reality most days. Between homeschooling, chores around the house, working part-time and just life in general, I just don't make the time to blog. No promises, but I'm hoping to change that...
What's going on:
I'm getting ready to go to the Philadelphia Flower Show next week. It's a tradition. This will be my 9th trip. I go with my mother-in-law, C's grandma, and my sister-in-law. We used to take a bus to Philly, go to the show, and then return home early evening, but we got smart and started staying overnight at a hotel. This allows us more time to see all the displays, as well as having a place to rest our tired feet. This also means 24 hours of girl time... no husbands, no kids! I'm facing a new challenge this year though... setting up for C to do school with the boys. The poor man has no idea what he's about to dive into, but I think it will be a wake-up call for him when he realizes its NOT as easy as it seems! So this morning I've been writing careful notes for him to follow - how to get into each online class, and what he needs to do when and how. Hopefully all the males in this household survive...
Tonight's plan is to go to the mall and find a new cellphone for me. My cellphone sucks ass, to put it mildly. I have limited talk/text, NO internet, NO games. Just a basic cellphone that makes me feel like I'm 10 years behind the rest of the world and their iPhones and Droids. I'm also planning on going to Bath & Body Works to pick up my free BBW Club gift! Yay for free stuff!
Dinner tonight: Stuffed Pepper Stew

Last week in fast forward
Schooled the kids. Made yummy apple dumplings for dessert. Had a conference with Cole's teacher. Started this blog. Prepared for the Fall Open House. Ran some errands solo. Did 5 loads of laundry. Made Pina Colada cake. Got 3 new mosquito bites after being outside for all of 5 minutes. Watched the series premier of Boardwalk Empire 5 days after the premier. Wished I was in Atlantic City. Went to an HOA meeting. Took the kids to open savings accounts at the bank. Went to Michael's for the kids to do a craft. Kid's craft at Michael's was only being held in Canada stores. Bought cotton candy & glow bracelets. More prep for the Open House. Took our family to Saturday in the Park. Laid out a blanket away from everyone else. Let the crazies run around like.... well... crazies. Laughed at hearing a grumpy security guy tell someone, "Shit happens." Felt like a kid again eating cotton candy and wearing glow bracelets. Watched an awesome fireworks display. Looked at the 90+ pics Cole took of fireworks on his (non-activated) BlackBerry while sitting in traffic on the way home. Watched Saturday Night Live season premier. Ate chocolate chip waffles. Went to Open House. Sold 2 candles and 2 soaps. Had dinner with my sister and mom. Ate monkey cake. Fell asleep on the sofa around 10. Awesome weekend.

Welcome to Party of Five!
About us:
I'm a 30 something stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of 3 crazy kids. I love spending time at the beach. I can't live without coffee or chocolate.
My husband Chris and I have been married for over 11 years. He's a great father to the crazies, and my best friend. Chris enjoys creating ways to drive me nuts, and spending time at the cabin. He can't live without me or his BlackBerry.
Cole is our oldest son (read: Crazy #1.) He enjoys playing with cars and fighting with his brother. Cole can't live without Legos and arguing with his mother.
Owen is the middle kid (read: Crazy #2.) He enjoys the same activities as Cole, as well as grossing his mom out with various insect finds. Owen can't live without his blankets and dessert after dinner.
Ella is our little princess (read: Crazy #3.) She enjoys being girly and helping mommy with chores. Ella can't live without her baby dolls or her "pretties."
Welcome to our world.
